Twisted hair ties/Knotted hair ties like Emi-Jay

A funny story about this type of hair tie. About a year and a half ago, when my sister and I had a pretty cool opportunity to work at the same cell phone store, I asked her for a hair tie on a bad hair day. She pulled out one of these in a pretty minty color. I put it on without much examination. Then, one day we were taking about this type of hair tie and the girls who got famous for inventing it and had a business or whatever, and she said "like the one I gave you" and I busted out laughing because I thought she had improvised that from a broken headband or something. I remember even the little knot and elastic that hangs off the side bothered me a little bit. Then, we started talking about the benefits of them and the design idea and I thought it was pretty cool. I thought they hit the jackpot because just by looking at them I could tell it was a piece of elastic knotted at the end. SO EASY!

Fast forward to about a month ago, I googled, I found, I ordered and received elastic and made these with my daughter. When I saw the elastic in person, it was confirmed that I picked out the most awesome colors, and she helped me cut while I knotted. It was so much fun!

I've never done a tutorial or DIY so I didn't venture out to try yet,  and I have set up an online store where I'm selling these at a pretty affordable price for anyone who would like to have them but can't make them and won't spend the $12 for 5 of the designer brand.

There is a few companies, such as goody, that sell them, I'm not just aiming to talk about the designer brand but as far as I know, they are the inventors and I guess I want to give them credit.

*SOME FACTS:
-They are supposed to not leave a crease in your hair but to be honest,  I still think they do,  but even goody's left a crease if I'm to be completely honest, so I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's a thicker kind of elastic or if its that I tie it too tight?
-they for sure look absolutely beautiful on your wrist! You can even stack them with bracelets as arm candy! (even my boss asked me what it was on my wrist)
-lastly,  I would say they are ouchless when it comes to taking them off a ponytail, definitely not a messy bun if you tangle it up in there like I do

Oh and you can buy at girlyonabudget.bigcartel.com!!
They start at $4.00 USD! [Sorry I can't ship internationally yet!]
Check out my store for more colors.  :)

Here is the pic of the awesome product I keep taking about! :)
