London Look: Bold fashionista, featuring Rimmel LondonStay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

I try to keep up with the trends while still being true to myself.

I named this look BOLD FASHIONISTA because of the Bold lips. This fuchsia color is so beautiful and BOLD! Not to mention, it is definitely the latest in fashion when it comes to color for the SS2014!

Anyway the star of this blog post is my Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. This was definitely the best backdrop to this look and most important part of any look. When you can see your redness, dark spots and blemishes, it takes away from the beauty of the look.

The top reason that I like this foundation for is because of the great coverage it gives you while still feeling so light. Trust me when I say a little goes a long way! You don't need a lot to get great coverage.  It covers everything I want covered quickly and effectively!  I found that applying it with your fingers gives you the best result because you can press it in so it doesn't move. A brush will leave it kind of streaky, but then you can go over it with your fingers a bit if you want a more smooth finish. Like I said, it will feel light and weightless on your face which is important for me.

I feel that you don't even need a powder to set it with because it is so matte! I love the matte finish, you can see it right away and it lasts a lot of hours. It does rub off if you tend to be like me and touch your face often in the day but if you use the stay matte powder to touch up it helps it last longer and get you through.

For this look I started by putting on my Rimmel London Scandaleyes retro glam mascara in Extreme Black, I do as many coats as it takes for my eyelashes to look this big, full and fabulous, usually like 5! Then I apply my VS Make up Eye liner in Extreme Black on the top of the lash line and the waterline. Next, I apply my foundation with my fingers and top it with a little bit of Rimmel London stay matte powder if I'm going out and want a little extra layer between the world and my face [lol]. Then, I did a faint contour since I had the bold lips going on. Lastly, I put on my bold lipstick, NYC Expert Last Lipstick in forever fuschia.

...and Voilà!  That's how I get the finished look of a Bold fashionista.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure: REVIEW

I LOVE impress manicure! This is the fastest and easiest way to have nice looking nails for an estick the, night out, interview, graduation, new years, birthday, a date, or any day you want your nails to look great for! These press on nails save you time AND money! Who doesn't love that?!

The colors and designs they come in are great and they are always coming out with new ones. They also have different lengths.

The process is so easy. After I pick out which sizes go on each nail, I lay them down on my vanity, table, desk at work, even on my lap if we're in the car! Then I wipe all my nails with the prep pad and when that dries, I peel the backing of each nail, and stick them all on, starting from the pinky.

My big tip would be to make sure you don't wash or wet your nails and hands for the next few hours if possible. That really makes a difference for me on how long they last.

I would definitely recommend these nails to anyone! I love how easy they are to put on and also they come off just as easy.
I buy them at Walmart and Walgreens.

NYC New York Color Expert Last Lip Color Forever Fushia: LOOK & REVIEW

The newest addition to my make up bag makes me happy every time I put it on! 

First of all, the pigmentation of this color is so awesome! One swipe color for sure. It is buildable though and becomes more and more intense with more swipes.

My next favorite thing about it is the flavor/scent. I did not expect for this to smell and taste like anything! At first it was fruity and then it was kind of like bubble gum, whatever it is, I love it! 

Finally, of course, does it really last? & I have to say this baby really lives up to its name! I put it on and it does rub of on my straw or my cup if I drink water or whatever but the color is so pigmented that it does last! When I think it's time to re-apply, I look in the mirror and the color is still beautiful! 

The only bad thing I would say about it is that it stains my lips a bit by the end of the day when I wipe it off.

Other than that, I love this lipstick and would recommend it to anyone. Oh and I forgot to mention its only $1.99!! I found the entire collection at Walmart. Check them out for yourself! NYC Expert Last

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Review #PlayOn

When these tampons came in my UNIVOXBOX I was so excited to receive them because as long as I have been using tampons, I still don't have a favorite brand.  I buy different ones every time and try them.  I know the ones I like and the ones I stay away from.  Some seem too small or too thin and some are not absorbent enough.

In the case of Playtex Sport Fresh Balance, I really liked them!  They are long enough and absorbent enough.  Though I did notice that they don't really seem to expand a bit as they absorb.  They stay compressed if I'm explaining that correctly.  Like stiff and not soggy, which is good but i just felt they could be more absorbent if they didn't seem so stiff.
With that said though, I really like that they definitely stay in place while I'm active playing sports or on a run.

The odor shield is good to have rather than not have but I can't help but feel that mixed with the natural scent it becomes sour.

I really like these. I would definitely recommend them to anyone but specially beginners. The applicator is a plastic one, it's smooth and glides easily.

Uni VoxBox: the good, the bad, & the lovely!

Let's get right to it!

Here's what comes in the box:

From left to right: Rimmel Stay Matte mousse foundation, playtex sport fresh balance, New York Color Expert Last lipstick, Pilot acroball pen, Red Rose real tea water enhancer and imPress press on nails.

I have to say my favorite product was the lipstick! These new lipsticks really live up to their name, NYC Expert Last, I did not have to reapply as fast as I have to with other lipsticks. I love the color the most but the formula and the scent I probably love as much.

The foundation is an awesome product that I'm glad I got to try out. It really does make you look matte and is long lasting. I get shiny very easily and this helped me control that while giving me a beautiful velvety finish. I recommend using a little bit at a time because a little goes a long way as far as cover goes. As far as application, I felt it looked best being applied with your fingers because no matter what brush I used it looked streaky.

I have used imPress manicure before but they never cease to amaze me as far as the colors they come in. And I feel like the more I use them, the more of an expert I become in the application and making them last longer. 

When I saw the Pilot acroball pen the first thing I wondered was how pen companies are still in business with this new technology age. When I have to remind someone something, I text them, my grocery list, I make a memo in my phone.  Letters? I don't write any? Bills? I don't mail them. Bank transactions? I haven't seen the inside of a bank in months. I can name a lot of situations similar to these. However, I took this pen to work the day after I got it in my box and it's lived at my desk since. I even hide it so it won't get taken. (lol) There is something about writing with a new pen that makes me want to write prettier! What I really love about this pen is how light weight it is. The ink is ink but this pen is definitely smooth and pops because of the awesome colors it comes in!

Playtex sport fresh balance are great tampons that I definitely recommend to anyone. Specially beginners though because the applicator is a plastic applicator and it glides smoothly and easily. The odor shield is good to have for those off days. I had no worries about leaks and felt they were very absorbent.

The Red Rose real tea water enhancer is such an awesome product! You can enjoy it hot or cold! I liked it both ways but usually prefer my tea hot. You can make 24 servings from one tiny bottle and you can make the taste as light or intense as you want. Also, the flavors make this better than regular tea because it's sweeter for you sweet tooth people! :)

Celestial Seasonings Vox Box

I have to start this off by saying before I received* my Celestial Seasonings Vox Box I was not a big tea drinker.  It's become such an addiction though after trying just a couple though! I can't wait to try other flavors!

This is the box and what came in it.

I think it was smart to send out the coupon to save space while shipping but also to let me pick out which kind of green tea I wanted.  I ended up getting one free with the coupon and buying another two boxes (see below) but for someone who was only getting one, it's nice to have the choice on which one by getting the coupon.

So I went to the store and I was amazed and almost wanted to get one of each! I did not know there was so many flavors and types of tea! And Celestial Seasonings' packaging is so cute! They are like cartoon characters and so colorful.

So I got two boxes of green tea of the same flavors I sampled from my Vox Box, one was free with the coupon.  Then I picked up the Sleepytime Kids for my daughter.

Ok, now on to the tea!  I personally like the sleepytime better.  The lemon and jasmine compliment it perfectly and I enjoy it so much.  Also, it puts me right to sleep after I finish a cup!  It relaxes me after a long day, and I notice myself start yawning right away.  The other green tea makes me feel healthy while drinking it, which I love, but I would recommend adding sweetener or honey for someone who has a sweet tooth like me!  The sleepytime kids doesn't seem to have the same effects on my daughter that it does on me.  She's only 5 so she's got a lot of energy anyway, she loves the flavor though and she enjoys drinking a cup of tea with her mommy! :)

Lastly, the cherry on top of this Vox Box was this tea bag clip and caddie that was mailed separately.  It is so beautiful, beautifully made, luxurious and definitely helpful for when I make tea at work and don't have a spoon handy to fish out my tea bag.  This picture does not do these pieces justice, they are way more shiny than they appear here.  The attention to detail was great!

Here is a video from my instagram of how I create my cup of tea.  I like to say I do it the lazy way, but it tastes great to me!

1. Put tea bag at the bottom of the cup

2. Pour hot water from my primo water dispenser

3. seep for 2 minutes, (microwave timer)

4. stir a bit

5. take out tea bag

6. enjoy!

Ducklings Mini Rolls

The ducktape was something I had not seen before. I knew regular ducktape and what they've done with all the designs recently but this smaller version was awesome!  I used it to wrap a present and used the tape as decoration instead of using wrapping paper! #MiniDucklings

Puffs Plus with Lotion

The puffs plus with lotion are great for the cold weather we've had in Denver! I love that they don't dry out or chap your nose and they feel so soft on your skin.  I can actually feel the lotion when I wipe my nose or face.  They are great to carry in my purse or even my coat pocket for on the go cleaning if my daughter gets sentimental and cries and gets a runny nose. #PassthePuffs

The packaging these to-go packs have is cute enough that you can carry in your purse and it will blend in with all your other girly stuff.  I saw pictures of packaging that had high heel shoes on it, can you say GIRLY!?  Can you spot my to-go pack in the picture above? That's my purse in my drawer at work.

NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow

I love receiving make up to test out because it's all so new to me that I get to try stuff before I commit!  This NYC HD Color Trio is so great.  It's affordable because it's a drugstore brand, the colors have really good color pay off, and NYC is a brand that carries everything you need to put on your face sort of like a one stop shop when you shop with this brand.

This trio comes with the shadows already labeled; highlight, all over lid, and crease which makes it so easy when doing your make up. It does come with a double sided applicator too. It's really a one stop shop like I said.  The color goes on smooth and like I said the color pay off is great.  The only thing I have to say is that you do get a lot of fallout with these eye shadows but you can wipe that off with a make up wipe.  Just make sure you do your eyes first and your foundation next. :) #HDColorTrio

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer

The other make up item in this box is a lip product.  I love this because its so pigmented that you get great color pay off like a lipstick and it is also shiny like a lip gloss.  It goes on so smoothly and the color selection is great!  I have to reapply every few hours but I'm sort of addicted to it since I got it. #ShowOffLipLacquer

Skinny Cow Candy

So many times I feel guilty for working out and then turning around an enjoying my guilty pleasure; chocolate!  Skinny Cow US made this so much easier for me now!  This box comes with 6-3 count packs.  Each pack of 3 is only 130 calories!  I am not so much a fan of the peanut butter but it felt good to be eating something that isn't so bad!  One of these packs can be your best friend when you feel like indulging and you won't feel guilty after! #IndulgeWithSkinny

NYC HD Color Trio REVIEW

It's so funny to me when I think about it that I'm 23 years old and I don't wear eye shadow often.  I can probably name every single time I've had eye shadow on my eyes in my whole life.  I've been watching my favorite YouTube gurus do their make up and do tutorials for a long time and never knew what to buy or where to start.  This NYC HD Color Trio might have come to change my life!

I think it's awesome that the three colors come already labeled for where they go. (Highlight, all over lid, and crease)  As a beginner in make up, I find it easiest to apply eye shadow with brushes from a set I bought, but you can very well do your all over lid and highlight with the applicator the trio comes with and then blend the crease color with your finger or a blending brush.  The only thing I have a hard time with these eyeshadows is that there is a lot of fallout.  That can be an issue for a beginner, or anyone for that matter, the tip I've found with that is to do my eyeshadow first, clean up the fallout, then do my foundation.

I already knew the brand NYC from other products I've recieved* from influenster.  (Lip gloss, glitter eyeliner, shimmer eyedust)  It is a drugstore brand and I actually also own nail polish from them.  I know when you buy drugstore eye shadows you can't expect the color to be greatly pigmented.  However, in my beginner eyes and opinion, the color has great payoff, and this HD Color Trio is definitely the best product I own from New York Color (NYC).

Puffs plus with lotion To-Go packs REVIEW

I love using Puffs plus with lotion To-Go packs!  They are so convenient to have on the days we wake up and it's sooooo cold in Denver that we get a runny nose!
They also come in handy when my daughter is feeling sentimental and cries and gets a runny nose, they wipe away noses and tears just great!
I love how soft they feel on the skin and the lotion actually feels moisturizing to me.

The packaging is so cute that its nice to carry around in your purse, also easy to find! (can you spot mine?)
I take these with me everywhere!
